New Features: QuickPackage, Enhanced PayPal Integration, Improved Prospect Tracking & Reporting

Posted by Amanda Foran on March 25, 2011

Our latest ReadySetAuction updates bring a handful of new features: a faster and easier process for turning donations into auction items, simplified online payment for your auction winners, and better tracking and reporting on donors and prospective donors.

QuickPackage for Faster, Smoother Auction Package Creation

The new QuickPackage feature makes it quick and simple to turn any one donation into an auction package. QuickPackage automatically copies the donation’s title, description, and restrictions to the corresponding package — no more copy and paste!

QuickPackage is helpful when creating auction packages from a single donation. When you’re bundling more than one donation into a package — like auctioning a pair of movie tickets and a dinner for two as “Dinner and a Movie” — you’ll still need to create a new package from scratch and add the donations to it.

Improved PayPal Integration for Easy Online Payment

It’s now easier for your organization to accept credit card payments through PayPal on your ReadySetAuction-powered auction website, even from people who don’t have a PayPal account. Simply link your organization’s existing PayPal Business account to ReadySetAuction, or set up a new one. You no longer need a PayPal Website Payments Pro account.

Through your PayPal Business account, online auction winners can pay for their winning items and constituents can buy tickets or sponsorships and make credit card donations online, without needing a PayPal account of their own.

Improved Prospect Reporting and Tracking

Many users have asked for the ability to add free-form notes to prospect and donor records, so they can pass along important solicitation info to other members of their auction team. This is now possible in the latest release of ReadySetAuction.

We’ve also broken prospect contact info into separate fields on the Prospect Status reports. This makes it easier than ever to open a report in Excel and use the data in a mail merge to create your own prospect and donor mailing labels. You can even merge your letters and envelopes in zip code order for reduced-rate bulk mailing.

We hope you’ll find these new additions useful. As always, we look forward to hearing your feedback and suggestions for other ways to continue improving ReadySetAuction.
