Accept Credit Cards During Your Auction

As part of its auction management tool set, ReadySetAuction enables you to:

  • sell tickets and sponsorships online
  • accept cash donations online
  • accept and process credit cards in real-time during gala event checkout
  • accept and process credit cards from the winning bidders of your online auction

Your organization can use these features as long as it has a merchant account for processing credit cards and that merchant account is set up to communicate with ReadySetAuction. Communication between ReadySetAuction and any merchant account requires an intermediary, called a payment gateway.

Need a Merchant Account?

If your organization does not yet have a merchant account, you can apply for an account with one of ReadySetAuction’s payment processing partners. When you establish a merchant account with a ReadySetAuction partner, a compatible payment gateway will also be established. Already Have a Merchant Account?

If your organization already has an eCommerce merchant account, you can connect this existing account to ReadySetAuction via an Authorize.Net payment gateway. If you already have an Authorize.Net account, you are all set. If you need to establish an Authorize.Net payment gateway to your existing merchant account, we recommend GatewayOnly.com. PayPal as an Additional Payment Option

Important: Guests at your gala event can NOT pay with PayPal. To accept credit cards in real time during gala event checkout, your organization must establish a merchant account with one of the payment processing partners above.

If your organization has a PayPal Business account, your constituents can pay with PayPal when they buy tickets and sponsorships online, make cash donations online and pay for their online auction winnings. When your customer chooses to pay with PayPal, he or she can select from a number of funding options including: PayPal balance, linked checking account, or credit card. Please note: Your customer will need a PayPal account in order to pay with PayPal, and will be given the opportunity to create an account if necessary during the PayPal payment process.
